Once a teacher had a disciple who used to live in a hermitage. One day, the disciple was going somewhere. He hadn’t gone too far when suddenly it started raining cats and dogs.
He returned and told this problem to his teacher. The teacher said, “You should have faith in god. He will save you from all problems.” The disciple obeyed and resumed his journey. He kept reciting the name of god and cleared all the hurdles.
Next day, the teacher had to go on the same route. When he reached a deep drain, he doubted whether god would save him or not. The teacher got drowned.
Thus, doubt drowns you and faith saves you….
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren. After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing. Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?” “My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,” the first man answered. “His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.” “You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.” “Tell me,” the first man asked the voice, “What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?” “He prayed that all your prayers be answered.” For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.
The professor of psychology is in a very good mood today. Seeing a new student in the first row, he made him grow a beard…
PROFESSOR: Do you believe in God?
Student: Of course sir.!
Professor: Is God good?
Student: Of course.!
Professor: Is God omnipotent?
PROFESSOR: My brother died of cancer even though he asked God for healing. Almost all of us help others with their illnesses, but God did not. Will you still say God is good?
The student is silent.😐
Professor: You have no answer, right? Okay, let’s start again. God is good?
Student: Of course.!
Professor: Is the devil good?
Professor: Where did the devil come from?
Student: From God.!
PROFESSOR: Then boy, evil in the ball world
Is there anything to say?
PROFESSOR: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And God made everything.
PROFESSOR: So who made Evil?
The student is silent..😐
Professor: Violence, hatred, sickness, death, all these things are in the world, aren’t they?
Professor: Who made all this?
The student is silent..😐
Professor: Science says that you have five senses which you use to identify all the objects in the world. Now tell me, have you seen God?
Student: No sir.!
PROFESSOR: Have you heard of God?
Student: No sir.!
PROFESSOR: Have you ever felt the taste of God?
Student: No sir.!
PROFESSOR: Do you still believe in God?
PROFESSOR: Say it in the laboratory, say it in the feeling, say it in the demonstration, science says God doesn’t exist. What would you call it?
Student: Nothing. I just believe
Professor: Yes. This is the problem of science..
Student: Well sir, is there anything called heat?
Student: No sir, none of these,
( The whole room fell silent as the scene changed..)
Student: Sir, you can get many kinds of heat, less heat, more heat or more, but there is no such thing as cold. We can’t go below 458 degrees.. We call the absence of heat cold.. We do not measure cold, we measure heat. Heat is energy.. Cold is not something different, it is just the absence of heat.
(Pin drop silence then in the classroom..)
Student: Well sir, what is darkness.? Is there anything called darkness.?
Professor: Of course, how does night come when it is not dark.?
Student: You made a mistake again, Professor.. Just the absence of dark light.. You can say less light, more light, dim light, but we call it darkness when there is no light.. It is not possible to intensify the darkness without light at once..
PROFESSOR: What do you mean by that.?
Student: I really want to come to a conclusion from your philosophy…
Professor: What is the decision.?
Student: Sir you are following the giant principle.. You are born and die at the same time as the good God, the bad God
Arguing.. You think God is a finite measurable quantity.. Sir science can never measure thought and consciousness.. Science uses electricity magnetism but these are never seen and can rarely be felt.. Now Professor, you say, did you teach your students that man came from monkeys.?
Professor: Of course. If you look at biological evolution, you will agree.?
Student: Have you seen this evolution with your own eyes.?(The professor was slowly realizing where the argument was going..) Since no one has seen evolution and no one has been able to prove it in the laboratory, what if you are just preaching your faith.? Are you a scientist or not.?
Preacher.? The whole class suddenly burst out laughing.
Student: Is there anyone in this class who has seen the professor’s brain.?The whole class burst out laughing again.. Is there anyone in this class who has heard, felt, touched or tasted the professor’s brain.. There is no one who has done that. So the professor has no brain according to the accepted rules of science. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir..? The whole class is silent.. The professor stared at the student for a moment.
PROFESSOR: I think you should trust my brain.
That’s what I’m saying, the relationship between man and God is one of faith.. That is what keeps the believers alive..
And that student or APJ Abdul Kalam was the former Indian president and many say that the student was Albert Einstein..?
Ramchand and Premchand were neighbours. Ramchand was a poor farmer. Premchand was a landlord. Ramchand used to be very relaxed and happy. He never bothered to close the doors and windows of his house at night. He had deep sound sleeps. Although he had no money he was peaceful. Premchand used to be very tensealways. He was very keen to close the doors and windows of his house at night. He could not sleep well. He was always bothered that someone might break open his safes and steal away his money. He envied the peaceful Ramchand. One day, Premchand call Ramchand and gave him a boxfulof cash saying, ‘Look my dear friend. I am blessed with plenty of wealth. I find you in poverty. So, take this cash and live in prosperity.’ Ramchand was overwhelmingly happy. He was joyful throughoutthe day. Night came. Ramchand went to bed as usual. But, to-day,he could not sleep. He went and closed the doors and windows. He still could not sleep. He began to keep on looking at the box of cash. The whole night he was disturbed. As soon as day broke, Ramchand took the box of cash to Premchand. He gave away the box to Premchand saying, ‘Dear Friend, I am poor. But, your money took away peace from me. Please bear with me and takeback your money.’
Moral: Money can not get everything. Learn to be satisfied with what you have and you willalways be happy.

The story starts out where she, Beth, is sitting at an airport terminal, waiting to board a plane. She was sitting there with several other people who were also waiting, whom she did not know. As she waited, she pulled out her Bible and started reading. All of a sudden she felt as if the people sitting there around her, were looking at her. She looked up, but realized that they were looking just over her head, in the direction right behind her. She turned around to see what everyone was looking at, and when she did, she saw a stewardess pushing a wheelchair, with the ugliest old man sitting in it, that she had ever seen before. She said he had this long white hair that was all tangled and such a mess. His face was really, really wrinkled, and he didn’t look friendly at all. She said she didn’t know why, but she felt drawn to the man, and thought at first that God wanted her to witness to him. In her mind she said she was thinking, “Oh, God, please, not now, not here.” No matter what she did, she couldn’t get the man off of her mind, and all of a sudden she knew what God wanted her to do. She was supposed to brush this old man’s hair. She went and knelt down in front of the old man, and said “Sir, may I have the honor of brushing your hair for you?” He said “What?” She thought, “Oh great, he’s hard of hearing.” Again, a little louder, she said, “Sir, may I have the honor of brushing your hair for you?” He answered, “If you are going to talk to me, you are going to have to speak up, I am practically deaf.” So this time, she was almost yelling, “Sir may I please have the honor of brushing your hair for you?” Everyone was watching to see what his response would be. The old man just looked at her confused, and said “Well, I guess if you really want to.” She said, “I don’t even have a brush, but I thought I would ask anyway.” He said, “Look in the bag hanging on the back of my chair, there is a brush in there.” So she got the brush out and started brushing his hair. She has a little girl with long hair, so she has had lots of practice getting tangles out, and knew how to be gentle with him. She worked for a long time, until every last tangle was out. Just as she was finishing up, she heard the old man crying, and she went and put her hands on his knees, kneeling in front of him again looking directly into his eyes, and said “Sir, do you know Jesus?” He answered, “Yes, of course I know Jesus. You see, my bride told me she couldn’t marry me unless I knew Jesus, so I learned all about Jesus, and asked Him to come into my heart many years ago, before I married my bride.” He continued, “You know, I am on my way home to go and see my wife. I have been in the hospital for a long time, and had to have a special surgery in this town far from my home. My wife couldn’t come with me, because she is so frail herself.” He said, “I was so worried about how terrible my hair looked, and I didn’t want her to see me looking so awful, but I couldn’t brush my hair, all by myself.” Tears were rolling down his cheeks, as he thanked Beth for brushing his hair. He thanked her over and over again. She was crying, people all around witnessing this were crying, and as they were all boarding the plane, the stewardess, who was also crying, stopped her, and asked, “Why did you do that?” And right there was the opportunity, the door that had been opened to share with someone else, the love of God. We don’t always understand God’s ways, but be ready, He may use us to meet the need of someone else, like He met the need of this old man, and in that moment, also calling out to a lost soul who needed to know about His love.
